The School of Pharmacy of Jinzhou Medical University was founded in 1994. In 1998, it began to recruit the first undergraduates in clinical pharmacy. In 2021, a five-year clinical pharmacy major was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 2002, he began to enroll four-year undergraduate students majoring in pharmacy. In 2005, he was approved as a master's degree in pharmacy, and in 2011, he was approved to enroll a master's degree in pharmacy. At present, the School of Pharmacy has 9 teaching and research offices: Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacognosy. Pharmacy Management, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, one Inorganic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Experiment Teaching Center and Chemistry Experiment Teaching Center, 1 Provincial Virtual Simulation Experiment Center, there are 28 undergraduate courses and 10 courses for international students. There are 1 first-level master's degree and 6 second-level master's degree.
The School of Pharmacy currently has 67 full-time teachers including 9 professors, 37 associate professors, and 36 teachers have doctoral degrees. Among them, there are 2 top young talents in the "Xingliao Talent Project" in Liaoning Province, 1 at the 100-person level, 2 at the 1,000 level, and 2 at the 10,000 level in the "Million" Talent Project in Liaoning Province.
The School of Pharmacy currently has 416 undergraduates and 87 master's students, mainly engaged in the management and sales of hospital pharmacies, universities, factory quality inspection and trading companies.
The school continues to strengthen itself. There are six research directions: Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Microbiology and Biochemical Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Bio-materials. In the past three years, the school has undertaken 4 national projects, 12 provincial and ministerial projects, 12 department and bureau-level projects, won 1 provincial scientific and technological progress award, and published nearly 40 SCI papers.
The School of Pharmacy now has two provincial scientific research platforms: the Liaoning Key Laboratory of Marine Bio-active Substances and the Liaoning Provincial Professional Technology Innovation Center for Drug Role and Quality Evaluation. It has set up 11 undergraduate internship bases and 5 postgraduate training bases in Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong and other provinces.
