On July 8, 1992, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical College (mainly oral cavity) was established and opened for diagnosis. In November 2001, another name is "Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to Jinzhou Medical College" was added. In 2016, it was renamed the Second Affiliated Hospital to Jinzhou Medical University (Affiliated Oral Hospital), which is a provincial- level comprehensive hospital which focuses on the diseases of oral cavity and integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care and prevention. The hospital undertakes the teaching tasks of stomatology majors at all levels such as undergraduates, graduate students, international students and students of continued education. It is the governing body of the Chinese Oral Medicine Association, the international "smiling train" and the Chinese Charity Federation. It is the first "smiling train" designated hospital for free treatment of cleft lip and palate patients, the awarding for master's degree in oral clinical medicine, Liaoning Provincial Oral Medicine Clinical Skills Training Center, the Oral Nurse Training Base of the Chinese Oral Medicine Association, and the West-Liaoning Oral Disease Prevention Center named by the Provincial Department of Health.
The hospital currently covers an area of 11,300 square meters, with 100 beds and 120 oral comprehensive treatment chairs. There are a total of 22 clinical departments, including 15 stomatological clinical departments. The main departments are the key developing specialty of the Provincial Health Commission, the key specialty of Jinzhou City, and the key cultivation specialty of JZMU. There are 70 doctors in the hospital, including 60 stomatologists, 21 with senior professional and technical titles. There are 7 national professional members, including directors of the Oral Medicine Association and members of the China Oral Implant Professional Committee.
The hospital not only has a very high professional position and advanced oral diagnosis and treatment equipment, but also has skillful technical staff and rich clinical experience. It is the governing unit of the Chinese Association of Stomatology. In recent years, the oral implantation and various related surgery, microsurgery and periodontal sequence treatment technologiesareat an advanced level in Liaoning Province.
