School of Medical Humanities was established in 2002 with 3 undergraduate majors of medical insurance, management of public services and health services and management, 2 master's degrees of humanities and ethics. The school has four functional offices; the academic affairs office, the scientific research and postgraduate training office and the student affairs office. 11 teaching and research offices: medical insurance, health economics and hygienic managerialics, social medicine, literature and art, psychological health education, military theory, health law, medical humanities and ethics, employment and entrepreneurship guidance, health management. 1 practice teaching center for humanities and health management, a mental health guidance center. At present, there are 61 teaching staff, including 45 full-time teachers; 4 professors and 10 associate professors; 11 doctors (including pursuing PhD ) and 45 master's degrees. At present, there is 1 young core teacher in Liaoning Province, 1 famous teacher at the school level, 2 teaching experts, and 13 young excellent teachers at the university. There are 28 graduate students and 341 undergraduates.
Over the past 20 years, the school has always adhered to discipline construction as the leader and curriculum construction as the starting point to comprehensively improve the quality of education and teaching. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, more than 100 academic papers and 20 academic books had been published, and more than 50 provincial and department lever subjects finished. There are 5 first-class undergraduate courses at the provincial level and 8 first-class undergraduate courses at the university level. Students have presided more than 40 innovation and entrepreneurship projects at the national, provincial and university levels, won nearly 100 awards.
"Educating talents and creating scholars is the foundation of the country." The school has always adhered to the purpose of establishing morality and cultivating people, constantly strengthening ideological and political education, and comprehensively improving students' skills. The passed rate of CET-4 and CET-6 has reached 80%, the postgraduate entrance examination rate is nearly 20%, and the employment rate has reached 96%.
