At 19:30 on June 6th, commencement ceremony for the graduates of 2022 was grandly held in Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU). Wen Deliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of JZMU, Ding Weiguang,President and Vice-secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Committee Members of the Party Committee, members of the University Academic Degree Assessment Committee as wells as the representatives of teachers and students said goodbye to 2585 graduates in JZMU. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Lijuan, Vice-president of the university.
The theme MV “In Memory of the Best Time of Youth” was played, the graduates were deeply touched by each scene of campus life. Adhering to the motto of “Self-discipline to serve the society; Exquisite skills to benefit mankind”, the graduates of 2022 spent their brilliant years of youth in JZMU and wrote their stories of seeking knowledge.
Accompanied by the National Anthem, the commencement ceremony for the graduates of 2022 was started. Professor Qu Wei, Vice-president of the university, announced that 1,717 undergraduates, 757 postgraduates and 111 international students from 25 countries have successfully completed their studies and graduated.
Liu Hua, Vice-president of the university, announced the outstanding graduates of Liaoning Province, outstanding graduates of JZMU and the students for joining the army. This year, 98 students were awarded provincial honors, 174 students were awarded university honors, and 10 graduates were awarded for joining the army.
Ding Weiguang, Chairman of the University Academic Degree Assessment Committee, awarded degrees to the valedictorians of the graduates of 2022 and turned the tassels.
The representatives of the graduates of 2022 shared their growth and progress, thoughts and gains during their stay in JZMU. On behalf of all the graduates of 2022, they solemnly promised to their Alma mater that they would never change their original intention, always living up to their mission, contributing to the medical and health cause of mankind. Meanwhile, they also expressed the best wishes to the alma mater.
Representing the faculty, Zhang Hailong, M.D., a postgraduate supervisor, delivered a parting speech to the graduates. He entrusted the students with a great mission to achieve a wonderful life with struggle, and achieve great advancement while young.
Finally, Ding Weiguang made the commencement speech, congratulating the students on their successful completion of study and the opening of a new chapter in their lives. At the parting moment, he shared with the students his remarkable insights into commitment, loyalty, self-improvement, creation and gains. In the twilight, Ding Weiguang affectionately wished every graduate of 2022: “Lead a meaningful life with great passion, and look forward to a better future in this great era! Embark on a new journey of life with confidence and enthusiasm from JZMU!”.
