The 24th Medical Pedagogy Academic Conference of Liaoning Medical Association, sponsored by Liaoning Medical Association and co-sponsored by Liaoning Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Branch and Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU), was held online on December 17th . Over 100 educational managers and researchers from medical universities and medical institutions in Liaoning Province participated in the conference.
Ding Weiguang, President and Vice-secretary of the Party Committee of JZMU delivered a welcoming speech for expressing sincere greetings to experts and scholars involved the conference. He conveyed that JZMU has implemented the fundamental task of establishing virtue and cultivating students, vigorously promoted the innovation and reform of medical education, and made remarkable achievements in teaching practice. Besides, he pointed out that all medical universities and affiliated hospitals in Liaoning Province have actively carried out innovative work in optimizing the discipline structure, deepening the reform of medical education, and improving the quality of talent training in accordance with the work requirements of building new-type medical universities.
Liu Xuezheng, Chairman of Liaoning Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Branch, also delivered an opening speech, where he briefly reviewed the achievements of the Medical Pedagogy Branch in 2022, and expressed great respect and sincere gratitude to all medical education colleagues that made huge contribution to the Branch. He hoped Medical Pedagogy Branch would give full play to its role as a platform, medical education colleagues can fully carry out academic exchanges and discussions with sharing the new achievements and all these work aim to constantly promote the development of medical education in Liaoning Province, and continuously improve the ability and level of training high-quality medical talents.
Liu Ying, Vice-president of China Medical University, the incoming Chairman of Liaoning Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Branch, presided over the opening ceremony. Zhao Jie, President of Dalian Medical University, Yang Xiaoxia, Dean of Rehabilitation School of Shenyang Medical College together with Jia Lianqun, Director of Office of Academic Affairs of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine presided over the part of report.
Experts form well-known medical universities home delivered excellent speeches in terms of promoting the high-quality development of medical education from the perspective of inheritance and innovation as well as the cultivation of outstanding medical talents under the new medical background. Professor Liu Hengyu of JZMU gave a report entitled The Construction and Application of The Development Model of "Price" Faculty Teaching Ability in Medical Universities and Colleges. Based on her own experience in teaching and scientific research, Professor Liu concentrated on the latest achievements of medical education in Liaoning Province in the fields of educational research and teaching reform, professional construction, serving the society, as well as the teaching ability training.
Qu Wei, Vice-secretary of the Party Committee of JZMU, Vice-chairman of Liaoning Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Branch, made a concluding speech to express gratitude to all the experts and scholars for their strong support and active participation. He hoped that Liaoning Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Branch would fully lead its role on focusing on the development of high-quality medical education, implementing the new development concept, and contributing to the cultivation of medical talents in Liaoning Province!
