The 15th National Congress and General Election Meeting of the Chinese Society for Anatomy Sciences was held in Beijing on December 25th . Professor Liu Xuezheng of Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) was elected Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-president and Chairman of Education and Continuing Education Committee of the 17th Council of Chinese Society for Anatomy Sciences.

Liu Xuezheng, national second-class professor, doctoral (postdoctoral), doctoral (postdoctoral) instructor. He is a recipient of Special Government Allowances from the State Council, a talent of the first batch of Distinguished Professors and The New Century National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project in Liaoning Province, and a winner of Liaoning Famous Teacher Award, Liaoning Outstanding Expert, and Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award.
Currently, Liu Xuezheng is a member of the Medical Humanity Literacy and General Practice Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-president and Chairman of Education and Continuing Education Committee of the 16th and 17th Council of Chinese Society for Anatomy Sciences, and Chairman of the 7th Committee of Liaoning Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Branch.
The main research direction of Professor Liu Xuezheng is the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of diabetes retinopathy. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects, approved by foundations such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Major Experimental Platform Foundation of Universities in Liaoning Province, and the Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province. He has trained more than 120 students with doctoral degree and master degree. He has won 1 national scientific and technological achievement, 11 provincial scientific and technological achievements, and 11 scientific and technological progress awards, including 1 first prize, 3 second prizes and 3 third prizes for Scientific and Technology Progress in Liaoning Province. Besides, he has published more than 200 papers on key core journals as the first author or corresponding author, including more than 50 SCI papers.
Professor Liu Xuezheng has been engaged in education management and research for a long time as the team leader, deputy team leader or team member, as well as participated in the undergraduate teaching evaluation and clinical medical professional certification of colleges and universities under the Ministry of Education. He has served as the director of National Comprehensive Reform Professional Pilot, the Liaoning Provincial Comprehensive Reform Professional Pilot, Liaoning Provincial General Practice Medical Talent Training and Education Research Base, Excellent Courses and Bilingual Teaching Demonstration Courses of Liaoning Province, Excellent Teaching Team of Liaoning Province, Undergraduate Excellent Courses and Graduate Excellent Courses of Liaoning Province, and National Excellent Online Course of Systematic Anatomy for MBBS International Students in China.
He also won the first prize of Teaching Achievements Award in Liaoning Province with 3 studies, The Construction and Practice of Clinical Medical Talent Training Mode Based on The "3 Integration" Curriculum System, The Research and Practice of Medical Colleges and Universities in Training Practical Talents for Rural Grass-roots Units, and The Research on The Construction of Clinical Teaching Bases in Ordinary Medical Colleges and Universities. In addition, more than 10 studies under his name have won the first prize of Chinese Medical Association Medical Pedagogy Academic Conference and the first prize of Research Achievements of Liaoning Higher Education Association.
He has edited more than 20 teaching materials and monographs, of which Systematic Anatomy (People's Medical Publishing House Co. Ltd.),Human Morphology (People's Medical Publishing House Co. Ltd.) and Local Anatomy (Case Edition)(China Science Publishing & Media Ltd.) were evaluated as National Planning Teaching Material, The Systemic Anatomy won the second prize of National Excellent Teaching Material Award, and Local Anatomy and Introduction to General Medicine won the Liaoning Provincial Excellent Teaching Material Award.
In 2021, Professor Liu Xuezheng was regarded as an Advanced Individual in Teaching Material Construction of Liaoning Province, for his contributions to higher medical education and medical personnel training.
