On March 9th, Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) held an online MoE Dual Degree Program Meeting with St. Francis College (U.S.A). Qu Wei, Vice-secretary of the Party Committee of JZMU, Dr. Reza Fakhari, Vice-president for Internationalization of St. Francis College, Dr. Jennifer Lancaster, Vice-president for Academic Affairs & Dean of Faculty of St. Francis College, the Dean of School of Humanities and Health Management, and the members in charge of international affairs attended the meeting. Zhu Xiaomei, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, hosted the meeting.
Qu Wei delivered a welcome speech at first, in which he stated that education is an essential factor in promoting human's development and a crucial way to deepen mutual understanding around the world, “I hope that the two universities can take this meeting as an opportunity to establish long-term and smooth communication channel, laying a solid foundation for future cooperative education and other international cooperation, and achieving the goal of more inclusive, diverse, balanced and sustainable development for both sides.” Afterwards, both universities introduced their own current educational and professional status and exchanged ideas on Sino foreign cooperative educational projects.
Both parties expressed that the meeting was pragmatic and efficient with the achieving goal of deepening mutual understanding, reaching cooperative intention in a harmonious atmosphere and clarifying the working plan. Both universities hoped to implement the consensus as soon as possible and steadily promoted the construction of Sino foreign cooperative educational projects.
