International Talent Project | Jinzhou Medical University and Universiti Putra Malaysia Held an International Exchange and Cooperation Project Meeting

On March 14th, Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) held an international exchange and cooperation project meeting with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Ding Weiguang, President of JZMU, Qu Wei, Vice-secretary of the Party Committee of JZMU, Wang Xu, Director of the China Center of UPM, and Li Mu, Director of the Northeast, China Center of UPM attended the meeting. The Deans of the School of Food and Health and the School of International Education also participated in the meeting. Zhu Xiaomei, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, hosted the meeting.

Ding Weiguang delivered a welcome speech at first, in which he introduced the history, educational characteristics, discipline construction, talent cultivation, and international education of JZMU and its three affiliated hospitals. He hoped that through the meeting both sides can rely on their own advantages to promote cooperation and development solidly and effectively.

Wang Xu introduced the history and current development status of UPM as well as its cooperation projects such as exchange students, summer school training, visiting scholars, overseas base construction, doctoral offshore courses, and master’s degree program.

JZMU and UPM conducted an in-depth communication on projects of cooperative education, teacher-student exchanges and joint scientific research, expressing the willingness to build an international education platform and promote substantive cooperation on the basis of “mutual consultation, construction, sharing, and win-win”.

This meeting was an important measure to implement the “International Talent Project of the Three-year Action Plan for Innovative and Development of JZMU” and provided strong intellectual support for the development of education and discipline construction of JZMU by introducing high-quality educational resources from abroad.
