On February 16th, Wen Deliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) and Liu Hua, Vice-president and Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee together with administrators of main schools and departments of JZMU conducted an investigative and communicative visit to Dalian Polytechnic University (DLPU) and Dalian Medical University (DMU) respectively for the issues of the construction of characteristic disciplines, research and development of functional foods, construction of clinical medical centers, and joint training program of doctoral candidates. Yuan Xiaojie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dalian Polytechnic University, Li Changwu, President of Dalian Polytechnic University, Liu Xiaodong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dalian Medical University, and Zhao Jie, President of Dalian Medical University welcomed the group of JZMU in their university respectively.
At Dalian Polytechnic University (DLPU), Yuan Xiaojie and Li Changwu briefly introduced the overall situation, the development and construction of the food discipline, and the achievements made in recent years. Afterwards, Wen Deliang and the representatives of JZMU exchanged with leaders of relevant departments of DLPU the construction of characteristic first-class disciplines, functional food research and development, and intercollegiate scientific and technological innovation cooperation.
Both sides agreed that the urban development should depend on the development of the university and urban characteristics. The future of Comprehensive Health is promising and food is closely related with health. JZMU and DLPU have their own advantages in medical and scientific resources in strengthening the innovation breakthroughs of Liaoning Province. Thus the two universities will carry out intercollegiate cooperation focusing on “The Aged and Infants” policy and plan to sign a strategic cooperation agreement on scientific and technological innovation in March.
At Dalian Medical University (DMU), Wen Deliang and the representatives of JZMU exchanged with leaders of relevant departments of DMU around the construction of characteristic disciplines, the construction of clinical specialty centers, and the joint training program of doctoral candidates. The leaders of DMU stated that they would support the innovative development of JZMU through the intercollegiate cooperation, and hoped that the two universities would seize the opportunity of the Three-year Action Plan of Liaoning Province to contribute their wisdom and strength to the development of the cause of health in Liaoning Province.
Wen Deliang expressed gratitude to DLPU and DMU for their warm reception and he expected that the three universities would seize the opportunity of the Three Year Action of Liaoning Province to carry out more in-depth exchanges and cooperation in fields such as discipline construction, faculty construction, talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services, so as to jointly contribute to the comprehensive revitalization and new breakthroughs of Liaoning Province.
