The Launching Ceremony of Liaoning (Jinzhou) Comprehensive Demonstration Research Project on Health Sssessment and Promotion of Children and Adolescents was held

In order to facilitate the healthy growth of children and adolescents, JZMU launched the Comprehensive Demonstration Research Project of Children and Adolescent Health Assessment and Promotion in Jinzhou, Liaoning. On October 25th, the launching ceremony was held at the Fifth Middle School, Jinzhou. Professor Wen Deliang, Secretary of CPC in JZMU and head of the Comprehensive Demonstration Research Project of Children and Adolescent Health Assessment and Promotion in Liaoning, Sun Zhihai, director of the Municipal Education Bureau, and Professor Liu Hua, former Vice President of JZMU, attended the opening ceremony.

Wen Deliang pointed out that the health of children and adolescents was a major concern related to the development of human society. He introduced the importance and research status of healthy development of children and adolescents from multiple perspectives of world, nation, and ethnic development, on the basis of the actual health problems of children and adolescents in Liaoning, explained the importance of building a comprehensive technological control system of “co-prevention and co-management”, and the necessity of the comprehensive health promotion of children and adolescents.

He gave a detailed introduction to the project to the teachers and students present. In December 2022, Jinzhou Medical University would establish Collaborative Innovation Center of Children and Adolescent Health Promotion, focusing on common health diseases in children and adolescents, such as overweight, obesity, myopia, scoliosis, dental caries, and mental health problems. The center was to achieve significant breakthroughs in the research of the pathogenesis of common diseases in children and adolescents, key molecular targets, new technologies and products for prevention and treatment, and the construction of intelligent health management systems.
