To commemorate the selfless dedication of the Silent Mentors and guide students to abide by the oath of being the medical students, Jinzhou Medical University, Jinzhou Red Cross Society, Jinzhou Health Commission, Jinzhou Maoshan Anling Co., Ltd., and Jinzhou Volunteer Service Federation held the activity “Life · Praise” on the eve of Qingming Festival. Vice-president Sun Hongzhi, Yu Li, Director of School of Basic Medicine, and representatives of teachers and students of JZMU attended the ceremony.
Respect for life is the basic morals for being the medical student. “Silent Mentor” is the highest title in the medical field for people who donated their body to the medical careerafter their being passed away. Although they were silent, they are the important companion and witness for students’ medical career. At present, 8700 people in Jinzhou City have registered their voluntary human organ donation and an increasing number of people are willing to donate their bodies or organs for scientific research and medical purposes. We should pay our tribute to their heroic undertaking!
