On May 10th, Li Jinghong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor of the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University, attended Academic Forum of JZMU and delivered a special report on “Surface Plasmon Microscopy” to faculty and students. President Qu Wei, Vice-president Zhong Hongshan and representatives from the Office of Science and Technology, the School of Pharmacy, and relevant professional faculty and students attended the academic event.
On behalf of the university, Qu Wei welcomed and expressed gratitude to Academician Li Jinghong for attending our “Academic Forum”. He emphasized that high-level talents and high-level scientific researches are crucial supports for high-quality development of the university. He stated that the university would establish long-term and in-depth scientific research cooperation with Academician Li Jinghong through academic exchanges. Academician Li Jinghong expressed that Jinzhou Medical University has a long history, rich cultural heritage and solid academic foundation, and the emphasis on interdisciplinary integration is commendable for the university’s development especially under the new medical science background. He hoped to leverage his advantages in the interdisciplinary integration of medicine and science to contribute to the high-quality development of Jinzhou Medical University.
Academician Li Jinghong shared his years of research experience and valuable insights, presenting a series of research results and the latest advancements in the field of surface plasmon microscopy to our faculty and students. In the interaction part, he answered related questions raised by faculty and students in detail and engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges. He shared how he overcame challenges in various fields and imparted his experience in team building and student training.
After the report, Qu Wei presented a guest certificate to Li Jinghong on behalf of our university.
