On May 25th, the 6th JZMU Athletics Games was held, and over 10 thousand of teachers and students gathered together to experience the passion and vitality brought by sports.
The majestic National Anthem of China was sung loudly by everyone and President Qu Wei delivered the opening speech afterwards. He stressed that there’s no champions to wait for, people only to strive for the success; he also hoped all the students and faculties could strive for higher, faster and stronger sportsmanship and consciously became the ‘Five Haves’ ones of Jinzhou Medical University, with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor skills!
At the games, teachers and students participated in the long-distance race, sprint, relay race, high jump, long jump and other track and field events. Besides, students’ CPR for Fun and teachers’ fun sports ‘Carps Jump over the Dragon Gate’ were also set up, embodying the professional features of the medical university. In the competition, teachers and students showed good sports quality, cooperative spirit and athletic level.
The Third Clinical Medical School, the College of International Education and The First Clinical Medical School won the top three of students’ team results. The First Clinical Medical School, The Third Clinical Medical School and the School of Public Health won the top three of the faculty’s team results. 12 units and 59 classes were awarded as ‘Advanced collective of spiritual civilization’ and ‘Advanced class of spiritual civilization’ at this athletics games.
