On June 25th, JZMU held the signing ceremony and explanation meeting of the Study Abroad Scholarship and Language Improvement Scholarship for the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Program of Sports Rehabilitation in the Academic Lecture Hall. Dr. Huang Xiangkui, the President of Beijing Lanco Education Technology, LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “Lanco Education”) and Director of China Office of Waikato Institute of Technology, President Qu Wei, Vice-president Zhong Hongshan, heads of Academic Affairs Office, International Exchange and Cooperation Center, School of Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation as well as 200 students attended the signing ceremony. Zhu Xiaomei, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center presided over the ceremony.
President Qu Wei, on behalf of JZMU, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Lanco Education for its social responsibility and kind act of donation. He stated that Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Program is an important part in opening up of education to the outside world, and students’ studying abroad is the milestone of the Sino-foreign cooperative education program. The study abroad scholarship and language improvement scholarship encourages and supports outstanding students to study abroad, accelerating the pace of opening up of education to the outside world, and improving the level of internationalization of our university.
Dr. Huang Xiangkui expressed that as the China Office of Waikato Institute of Technology, Lanco Education would continue to play the role of bridge and link, actively participate in the important section of program implementation, and escort the smooth operation of Sino-foreign cooperative education program.
President Qu Wei and Dr. Huang Xiangkui signed the Agreement on Study Abroad Scholarship and Language Improvement Scholarship Between Jinzhou Medical University and Beijing Lanco Education Technology Co., LTD.
After the signing ceremony, Ma Zhuang, dean of the School of Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation, reported the implementation and talent cultivation of Sino-foreign cooperative education program of Sports Rehabilitation major. Zhu Xiaomei introduced the two scholarships and Huang Xiangkui elaborated the scholarships and answered the questions students raised.
The signing ceremony was a critical measure for JZMU to deepen international exchanges and cooperation and advance the “International Intellectualization Project”. The setting of study abroad scholarship and language improvement scholarship will provide more opportunities for students with excellent character and academic performance to study abroad, effectively broadening their global vision, cultivating their international competitiveness, and will play a positive role in promoting the stability and long-term development of Sino-foreign cooperative education program.
