On June 25th, JZMU held the 2024 China International College Student Innovation Contest. 95 teams from 12 schools emerged to participate in the university-level final, by the recommendation of 20 experts from inside and outside the university served as judges. Vice-president Zhong Hongshan attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Gao Shujie, Dean of the School of Medical Humanities.
At the opening ceremony, Zhong Hongshan, on behalf of JZMU, expressed the gratitude to the judges, teachers and student representatives involved the contest. She stated that the contest would further stimulate the students’ enthusiasm for innovation, thinking and ability, encourage their ability for teamwork and provide them a good communication platform. She hoped that the contest would promote the teaching activities and deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, promote the learning activities and stimulate students’ creativity, promote innovative activities and push forward the transformation of contest fruits and the integration of industry-university-research and application. She also hoped that the contestants would relax themselves and fully demonstrate the creativity and advantages of their projects, and present a wonderful innovation feast for everyone.
The contest entitled “I dare to venture, I can create” attracted the students’ enthusiastic participation after careful preparation and extensive publicity. Nearly 9,000 contestants from 1,800 teams from 12 schools participated the contest, reaching a new high record in the history. 95 teams emerged in university-level final contest.
After fierce competition and professional evaluation, the final batch of excellent projects stand out and will represent JZMU to participate in the Liaoning Provincial contest. These projects show high value in technology and great potential in practicality and market prospects.
