Recently, the Educational Department of Liaoning Province announced the accreditation results of provincial first-class undergraduate courses in 2022. All the 60 courses recommended by Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) were approved, including 1 on-line first-class course, 31 off-line first-class courses, 25 online and off-line mixed first-class courses, 2 social practice first-class courses and 1 virtual simulation experiment teaching first-class course. Up to now, the number of provincial first-class undergraduate courses in our university has reached 97.
The development of first-class undergraduate courses lay a solid foundation for high-level undergraduate education and the construction of first-class majors. In recent years, by thoroughly implementing the Implementation Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Construction of First-class Undergraduate Courses, JZMU actively strengthened first-class undergraduate courses and formulated the administrative method of the “Double ten thousand Plan” teaching development project. The university also increased funding to improve the teaching incentive mechanism and encourage teachers to carry out student-centered curriculum teaching reform and innovate the curriculum concept, curriculum content and curriculum model. As a result, with the information technology and teaching activity deeply integrated and five types of “golden courses” comprehensively developed, the teaching reform achieved remarkable results.
